          This material uses passages from famous
          works of children’s literature. Each card
          focuses on one editing element: capitalization,
          apostrophes, commas, quotation marks, and end
          punctuation. The set includes three levels,
          which increase in difficulty. Each level includes
          five editing cards and five control cards. A chart
          introducing the basic editing marks is also
          included.

         New York City Literature Cards

         includes 26 words, all of which begin
         with the same letter of the alphabet.
         A blank alphabet chart and alphabet
         strips are also included.

         Types of Sentences

         type: declarative, interrogative, imperative,
